Weld your way
Our 25 million dollar engineering facility houses 20 welding booths equipped with the latest tools and safety gear. Our teachers have many years of industry experience and are highly skilled in stig, tig, mig, flux-cored arc and oxy welding.
Our welding courses provide students with either basic, intermediate or advanced skills and are designed for people who are seeking to gain hobbyist skills, to enter the welding industry or who are currently working in the industry and want to achieve certification.
Night classes are available at our Acacia Ridge, Eagle Farm and Bracken Ridge Training centres.
Additionally, TAFE Queensland SkillsTech's Acacia Ridge Training Centre features the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Centre of Excellence to train polyethylene welders, gas pipeline operators and maintenance staff.

What our students think
My parents own property in Kilcoy, so I thought welding skills would really come in handy.. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and thought this would be a bit different to my usual office job. It could also help me towards a job in the resource sector in the future, so it's a win-win for me."
