CSQ funding and information

Funded training programs for current workers in the industry

If you are currently working in the Queensland building and construction industry you may be eligible for CSQ funded training under one of the following programs.

CSQ Short Courses (SC)

The Short Courses Program provides funding for a range of accredited competencies to assist with the up-skilling and cross-skilling of existing workers in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry. This training focuses on the safety requirements of the building and construction industry and associated requirements of licencing and regulatory authorities such as Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Queensland Building and Construction Commission and National Occupational Licensing Authority.

CSQ Trade Start General (TSG)

Trade Start General Construction is a pre-employment program which exposes participants to the building and construction industry, giving them a better understanding of the work involved and whether it suits their interests. Trade Start provides participants with job-ready skills through the provision of an entry-level qualification, life skills training, workplace experience and green building skills.

CSQ Skills Assessment and Gap Training (SAGT)

The SAGT General Construction program aims to provide a pathway for eligible individuals in the Queensland building and construction industry, who possess significant industry experience, to have their existing skills recognised and receive the gap training required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

CSQ Higher Level Skills (HLS)

The Higher Level Skills General Construction program aims to retain the skills of existing workers in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry by providing access to Certificate IV and higher level vocational training qualifications. Eligible building and construction workers who want to further develop their skills are provided with training and assessment in a range of subsidised qualifications.
