Entry requirements

Students must hold a current unrestricted Electrical Mechanic Licence to obtain the full qualification.  Students who do not hold a current unrestricted Electrical Mechanic Licence will exit with a Statement of Attainment.

Timetable

Full time: Monday to Friday 8.00 am - 4.45 pm

Part time: Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm

Students will undertake an Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment and if any GAP Training is identified, there will be approximately one week of training required.  This training will be conducted as soon as possible following the Hazardous Areas course and will be coordinated with your teacher for completion within a six week period.

Important Information

On the first day of class, students are required to bring a detailed resume and copy of their Electrical Licence.

Units

Students with a current unrestricted Electrical Licence:  On successful completion of all the units listed below, students will under take and RPL assessment and Gap Training if required for all Core Electrical Units and maybe eligible for UEE42611 - Certificate IV in Hazardous areas - Electrical

Students who do not hold a current unrestricted Electrical Licence:  Students will not obtain the full qualification but will receive a Statement of Attainment for all successful units completed.

Electives may differ between TAFE Queensland locations and regions.
